One of the most important pieces of information you should know is that Andros Island is connected to Athens only from the port of Rafina and there are no ferries from Piraeus.

How to get to Rafina port

From the Airport by bus

Athens International Airport is approximately 10 kilometres from Rafina. You can use the bus to Rafina, which departs from the Arrivals Level, between Exit 2 and 3, across from the airport hotel.

The bus service from Athens to Rafina departs from Mavromateon Street in Pedio Areos.

By your own vehicle

The easiest and quickest way to go to Rafina by your own vehicle is through Attiki Odos – Periferiaki Imittou following the signs to Rafina and through Marathonos Avenue turn right towards the port of Rafina. Alternatively, you can use only Marathonos Avenue without paying tolls.

Getting to Andros Island

To get to Andros Island you will have to board on a ferry from the port of Rafina. The trip lasts only two hours with a conventional ferry and there are daily routes, which intensifies on weekends and during the summer. You will disembark at Gavrio, the central port of Andros. By bus or taxi

If you do not have your own vehicle, you can take the bus, which will take you to the bus stop right in front of our hotel. Alternatively, you can grab a taxi. Upon request, we can book a taxi in your name which will be waiting outside the ferry.

By your own vehicle

If you have your own vehicle, you will follow the main road to Chora. Within 7 km you turn right at the first intersection towards Batsi. Once you are with the beach on your right hand, after about 150 meters you will see the hotel on your left. Our hotel is located in the centre of Batsi in front of the sandy beach. You can park for free at the municipal parking lot located right next to the hotel.
